Established in 1995

The Mines and Metallurgy Academy is composed of alumni from Mining Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology and Geophysics, and Petroleum Engineering backgrounds. The Mines and Metallurgy Academy is committed to helping find solutions to the key challenges facing our departments to help ensure Missouri S&T maintains its outstanding reputation for excellence in teaching and research.

Our mission is to:

• Recognize outstanding alumni,
• Counsel and advise University leadership,
• Interpret and promote the goals and programs of the departments represented in Mines and Metallurgy, and
• Provide a vehicle whereby individual members may support, in a variety of ways, the programs of the departments.
